We rode the train 5 hours from Vienna to Prague and checked into our new digs. We're on the 5th floor, a climb of 117 steps, but our host is nice and we're close to the castle.
So, the first thing we did was walk to the castle, through it and around it before it closed at 5pm. Every gate had guards at attention. The whole city was visible from the hill. The cathedral seemed to be a mile tall.
Supper was at "Shorty's Fast Food" because Ruth was hankering for a hamburger. Jeff got a bratwurst.

The bratwurst looks...interesting. Was it good?
ReplyDeleteI miss you guys! It seems weird because I wouldn't be seeing you anyway, but I miss having you just a phone call away. I'm glad you're having fun though!
We miss you too! We're getting a little homesick, and glad we will be home this week. Mom
DeleteThe bratwurst was good but a bit tough. The roll was toasted and kind of dry and crumbly. If I go there again I'll try the Currywurst.
