We are in Dublin and everything has gone like clockwork. We left our bags in storage at the airport and caught a bus to the city center. We toured Trinity College

and saw the famous, ancient Book of Kells, written in 800 AD. One of the pages in the Book of Kells used serpents as a symbol of Christ. Scholars think it is because shedding its skin is symbolic of resurrection.
Then we saw Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin Castle,

and the Beatty Library.
The weather is cold with occasional showers, but we have avoided getting too wet by being on the bus or in shops or museums. Haven't seen any shamrocks but there was this bonnie lass:
