Day 49 - Prague to Dublin

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

We started the day with a little touring around the castle neighborhood of Prague and ended with a little touring around Dublin, Ireland.

With a few spare hours before having to leave to catch our 2:55pm flight, we caught a trolley to St. Loreta Church.  Admission was about $7 and we didn't have much time so we just walked around the beautiful neighborhood, then spent most of our remaining Czech money on snacks for the trip.

Our flight and transfers went smoothly and we checked into our B&B in Dublin about 5:30.  It was built in 1891 and has an antique feel.

After arranging our gear, we downloaded a walking tour to our Android phone and set off to explore.  We got slices of quiche to eat while we walked.  The tour took us to 3 minor historical buildings, through the Dublin Castle and to St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Drizzle fell and a cold wind blew so we quit after one walking tour, glad to be done.  It's hard to believe the weather can be this cold in July.
