There is an English-speaking branch here, although few of its members are native English-speakers. There were people from Germany, France, Sweden, Nigeria, Congo, England, Phillipines, Greece, and one traveler from Idaho. Greece won't accept missionaries from the USA, so they come from all over Europe. The mission includes all of Greece and Cyprus and most members seem to be African immigrants. Everyone was very friendly. From the meetinghouse one has a good view of the Acropolis, Hadrian's Arch, and the Temple of Zeus.
There is a couple from England serving there named Coleman. Don't know if we are related.

Since church didn't start until 1:30, we took a long route and saw some things on the way. First was an elaborate changing-of-the-guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. (Yes, those are really big pom-poms on their toes.)

Then we explored the ruins of the Library of Hadrian, built in 131 AD to hold 16,000 scrolls.

We walked through the Roman Forum, built to replace the Athens Agora when the Romans took over. And after church our route home took us past the ancient Temple of Zeus, so we stopped in. We had already purchased a ticket that covered admission to all of these sites, so this used it up.
